Contains Strong Language is a four-day festival celebrating the very best in poetry and spoken word, featuring some of the world's most renowned artists including Kate Tempest, John Cooper Clarke and The Unthanks.
It will open on National Poetry Day on September the 28th, in association with the Humber Mouth Literature Festival.

It was revealed as part of a hot seat phone-in this morning, in which Martin faced a whole host of City of Culture related questions.

BBC Local LiveApproximately 6,000 babies are bornat Hull & East Yorkshire Women's and Children's Hospital every year andthis year, to celebrate Hull UK City of Culture 2017, each arrival is beingdocumented in a huge piece of artwork.
Every baby born at the hospital this year is having their footprint added to a unique piece of art.
The artwork is being displayed on panels in the foyer at the hospital and next week’s installation will mark the halfway stage of the project.
A new postcard celebrating the births will also be available at the installation on Tuesday 25 July.

BBC Radio HumbersideHumberside Police have unveiled two new police cars in Queen Victoria Square today, which when parked side by side, form a rainbow - a symbol of LGBT Pride.
It’s all part of the of the City of Culture’s Challenge Hull initiative, which invites organisations to set weekly challenges for people to take part in and share on social media with the hashtag #ChallengeHull.
The challenge for this week was set by Pride in Hull to ‘make a rainbow.’
The first UK national Pride event takes place in Hull on 22 July.

Reporter, BBC Hull and East YorkshireThe Humber Bridge is one of nine structures from our area being awarded listed status today.
It's being designated Grade 1 status, 36 years to the day since it was officially opened by The Queen.
The Tidal Barrier, Philip Larkin's former home and the statue of the first mayor of Hull -- William De Le Pole -- are among the eight other sites to be listed (below)
- Renowned poet Philip Larkin's house (32 Pearson Park) - Grade II listed
- Tidal Surge Barrier, Humber Street - Grade II listed
- Western Cemetery grave of Edward Booth, railway fireman whose death spurred new train safety measures - Grade II listed
- Homes of J Arthur Rank and Alfred Gelder, 365-371 Holderness Road - Grade II listed
- Edwardian-style public toilets with art nouveau features, Nelson Street - Grade II listed
- St Michael and All Angels Church, Orchard Road - Grade II listed.
- Standidge Buildings - late 19th Century warehouses, Chapel Lane - Grade II listed
- Statue of William de-la-Pole, Nelson Street -Grade II listed

East Yorkshire and LincolnshireThis afternoon the BBC's director general, Tony Hall, will receive an honorary degree from the University of Hull.
The university say they want to honour the cultural leaders and creators who have contributed to the arts during Hull's year as City of Culture.
Before taking charge of the BBC Mr Hall was Chief Executive of the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
